About

A grimoire for the slow return

I'm Leonora. I write about inner healing, herbs and the turning moon for women who are waking up to a gentler, more rooted way of living.

My story

For a long time I lived the way I thought I was supposed to: busy, capable, quietly exhausted. I was the one who held everything together. I didn’t know how far I had wandered from myself until my body started asking, more and more loudly, for me to stop.

My journey hasn’t been a single breakthrough. It was a slow return. I started walking without headphones. I learned the names of the plants along my lane. I began writing letters to the girl I had been, and noticing the moon again, the way I had as a child. Bit by bit, I felt myself come back.

This grimoire is where I keep what I’ve learned along the way: the practices, the plant notes, the small rituals and the honest stumbles.

A grimoire was traditionally a book of knowledge and spells, passed hand to hand. Mine is a little humbler: a well-thumbed notebook, left open on the kitchen table for you.

Why Ash & Bloom

After a wildfire, the land looks finished. Everything is black and still, and it's hard to believe anything could grow there again. But the ash does something tender: it softens into the soil and feeds it. When the rain comes, the first flowers push up right through it, often brighter than before.

That is what healing has felt like for me. Not erasing what burned, or pretending the fire never happened, but letting it feed something new. The grief, the old stories, the versions of myself I had to let go of: they became the ground I grow from.

So that's the name. Ash, for what we've lived through. Bloom, for what comes after. And the small & between them, for the slow, patient work of coming home to yourself.

I'm not here to fix you. You were never broken. I'm here to keep you company on the way home.

What I hold close

The values of this place

i

Gentleness first

Healing doesn't have to be a battle. Everything here is offered softly, and you are always free to take what helps and leave the rest.

ii

Rooted in the earth

The moon, the seasons and the plants at our doorstep are old teachers. I try to learn from them with humility and respect.

iii

Honest about safety

Herbs are powerful. Every plant profile includes clear cautions, and I'll always tell you when something needs a professional.

iv

Your path, not mine

This is a spiritual space without dogma. You don't have to believe anything in particular to belong here.
